Located in the USA, this example, like many survivors of the series, started life as a Yak-11 (Czech-built LET C-11) and has enjoyed a very positive journey towards completion to as-new condition complete with an overhauled P&W R-2000 engine, American wheels and disc brakes, overhauled three-bladed propeller, spinner.

The airframe has been thoroughly overhauled from the bare-metal tube frame upwards. All sheet metal work has been completed to a very high standard including the skinning of the aft fuselage (usually fabric covered on the stock Yak-11). There is pretty much everything needed to put this fighter together with all the major structural work completed right down to the fabric covering of the flight controls.

This aircraft will provide the next owner with the satisfaction of bringing this long term project to completion and will then own an outstanding warbird fighter to serve as a high perfrmance two seat tourer, an adventure flights platform or even an opportunity for competitive flying as air racing is revived in the USA.
